Black Rock Beach. This beautiful beach at Big Talbot Island Park was formed at the end of the last ice age and features geological wonders and tree skeletons - making it an otherworldly experience and a photographers dream. Black Rock beach is historically and culturally important to the people of Rarotonga.
On the south side of Widemouth Bay A prominent rocky outcrop which gives this beach its name. In particular there is great snorkeling right from the beach in front of Black Rock. In the rocky area there are many beautiful bays like artificial lakes blue water mild waves and a golden sand beach in the clear blue water. The coast line around Black Rock is pretty but the beach is narrow and not great and various sections as you might expect has black rocks rather than sand.
